We shouldn't have to give you much of an introduction for the most well-known extreme metal band that ever came out of Poland. Since 1991, Behemoth has turned heads with both their powerful music and the cloud of controversy and challenges that has seemed to envelop the band from the very start. Accused in their home country of promoting Satanism (and being put on trial for blasphemy) in 2007, the band suffered another blow when frontman Adam "Nergal" Darski had to endure a bone marrow transplant to fight leukemia in 2010.
Through it all, Behemoth managed to persevere, and in 2018, the band seems stronger and more energetic than ever before. ESP did our first Signature Series models for Behemoth back in 2009, so it was the perfect time to work with both Nergal and bass player Tomasz "Orion" Wróblewski on the creation of their new signature instruments... respectively, the LTD Nergal-6 and LTD Orion-5, which you'll see this spring and summer as Behemoth is on the road supporting Slayer on their farewell tour.
Nergal's new LTD Signature Series guitar is more than meets the eye. It's a classic single-cutaway ESP Eclipse shape with a mahogany body and a set-thru, three-piece mahogany neck at 24.75” scale, finished in Black Satin with black binding on the body, neck and headstock and black hardware. The Nergal-6 also features an ebony fingerboard with glow-in-the-dark side markers and the Behemoth “Trinity” logo over the 12th fret. The sound of the Nergal-6 is powered by a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker pickups. Use the push-pull tone pot to access two different voicings of the pickups. Push down for “Modern Active” tone or pull up for “Modern Passive Attack”.

Behemoth's bass player had some very specific things in mind with the design of his new LTD Signature Series bass, the Orion-5. It's a five-string model with a traditional shape based on our AP Series, with a comfortable alder body, a bolt-on maple neck at 34” scale, and an ebony fingerboard that features glow-in-the-dark side markers and the Behemoth “Trinity” logo over the 12th fret. The Orion-5’s heavy sound comes from a set of Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder PJ pickups, and includes a Seymour Duncan Blackouts 2-band stacked preamp with switchable treble frequency.
