Available Right Now: New LTD 200 Series Models

Many of the new guitar and bass models we introduced for 2018 are already available at your authorized ESP dealer. This spotlight article series will give you some extra details about new guitars that you can buy today!

One of the areas of the ESP product offerings that got the biggest overhaul for 2018 was our LTD “200 Series” guitars and basses. We made significant upgrades to these instruments, which represent some of our most affordable products. But don’t let yourself think that just because these instruments don’t cost an arm and leg that they’re not high-quality. The “200 Series” guitars and basses rank among the very best in their price range, and have the sound and feel of instruments that cost much more.

EX-200
Available in Black and Black Cherry Metallic finishes, the EX represents a bold and aggressive shape that is awesome for metal, rock, blues, and more. For 2018, we’ve redesigned this guitar to offer set-neck construction, giving you fast access to the highest frets for your solos. Its set of ESP Designed LH-150 humbucker pickups provides the chunky low end, sweet sustain, and clear, articulate highs.

H-200FM
The LTD H Series is based on the world-famous ESP Horizon shape, with its arched top and contoured body designed for comfort and performance. With the new H-200FM, you get a flamed maple top with your choice of Dark Brown Sunburst or See Thru Red finishes that allow the wood grain to show through. These guitars also offer set-neck construction and a pair of ESP Designed LH-150 pickups.

M-200/M-200FM/MH-200
There’s a good reason that artists like Kirk Hammett chose the M body style for their Signature Series guitars. Based on the ESP Mirage, M Series guitars offer the slab body, fast neck, and no-frills design that makes them great for shredding. We’ve added a number of new M-style models to the 200 Series, including the M-200FM that has a great-looking flamed maple top, and new finishes like the M-200’s completely cool Neon Pink. These guitars have Floyd Rose tremolos, great-sounding ESP Designed LH-150 pickups, and are priced so that just about any musician can afford one.

With the MH-200, you get design elements from both the H Series (arched and countered top) and M Series (inline headstock) in a killer, affordable guitar that also features a Floyd Rose tremolo and high-quality ESP Designed LH-150 pickups.

F-204FM/F-205FM
The F Series instruments took their name from the original ESP Forest shape, and it ranks among our most appreciated extreme body shapes. You can’t help but look cool with the bold bevels and curves of the new F-204FM (or 5-string F-205FM) with its killer Walnet Brown Satin finish over a flamed maple top. This bass has bolt-on design at 35” scale, so even while playing downtuned parts, the string tension will remain good for tight tone. Its sound is powered by a set of ESP Design SB-4 active pickups (SB-5 on the F-205FM).

VIPER-256
The Viper remains one of the favorite shapes ESP ever produced, and this year we updated the LTD 200 Series with a new Military Green Satin finish on the Viper-256. It’s a great guitar with a mahogany body, a set three-piece mahogany neck, and a set of ESP Designed LH-150 pickups.
