Mastodon Get Their GRAMMY

Mastodon Get Their GRAMMY

Mastodon, the innovative American rock band featuring ESP signature artist Bill Kelliher, finally took home a well-deserved GRAMMY award after five previous nominations. The honor came at the 2018 awards show under the category "Best Metal Performance" for the song "Sultan's Curse" off 2017's excellent album Emperor of Sand, which was also nominated this year. Band members Brann Dailor and Brent Hinds joined Kelliher to accept the award at the ceremony on Sunday, January 28.

While Bill was onstage picking up his GRAMMY, we were wrapping up the 2018 NAMM Show where we were introducing a new Pelham Blue finish for his LTD Signature Series Sparrowhawk. The Sparrowhawk has a vibe all of its own while still retaining some classic aspects that make it outstanding for a variety of different genres. It features a set of Lace Sensor Divinator pickups with push-pull coil-splitting, a maple-capped mahogany body, set-thru construction, a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with block inlays, and a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece for stability and sustain.

You can check out all of Bill's ESP and LTD signature models here. Congrats to Bill and all of Mastodon for this recognition of your great contributions to music!

We love it! It looks so great on our wall. Although it took us more than 3 hours to put up, as opposed to the 1 hour quoted, \Would put it up again though.

It was Troy Sanders who was there with Brann and Bill, not Brent
