Hi. Does it have coil split?

Todd B. ESP

Hi, No, this model of pickup does not offer coil split (it is not possible with this type of active pickup). But it does offer 2 voicings (Voice 1 & Voice 2), so you can have a variety of tones more than just one.

Anders B.

Hey. Recently got this from andertons. What an absolute killer guitar. Mine says M-1000 and not M-1000HT like others do and what is says on the pictures. Anyone know why?

Todd B. ESP

Hi, glad to hear you like your guitar! The HT just stands for HardTail which doesn't  need to be printed on the cover. Most likely the photo on our site is from our original sample and needs to be updated.

Silas H.

Will these also be updated to stainless steel frets, like the other new 1000-series ltds?

Do these come fairly well set up from the factory?

What's up with the limited choice of colors?? Where's the white, black, cream, orange..ect. I'd buy a few, can't see buying the faded ones..

Carl N.

thanks for the insight!

I am wondering about the tuning. What is the difference between LTD locking and a Complete Floyd Rose bridge? And how do you tune the LTD Locking? I currently play on an KH LTD and i love everything about the guitar however I am looking for something i can tune a bit easier with alternate tunings. Would this be an appropriate guitar for that?

Carl N.

Mark F.

The nut locks on the Floyd Rose system, leaving bolts and 'claws' at 'fret 0'.

The strings are locked to the tuning machine posts by bolts that go through the tuner from the back of the tuner, or locking pieces that go down into the tuner from the front, just depending on the manufacturer of the tuner.   The tuner presses the string against the post as you tighten, and you don't have to tie them off to the posts.

I had been considering purchasing this model for some time now. Well.....I finally pulled the trigger and pick one up! I own about six other (HIGH END) ESP’s including a standard series M2 NTB! And I have to say this axe exceeded my expectations! Great guitar for the price! If you’re thinking of getting one DO IT! Great build.....just as good as a E2 or an older standard series (Japan)

Love It!!

Cheers Brothers!

Carl N.

Thanks for sharing, glad you enjoy it

Hello I am considering buying the m1000ht and was wondering on how to use the split coil feature of the fishman modern pickups?

Carl N.

Voicings can be activated from the push/pull pot

Richard H.

This guitar has two voicing's so the pickups can be both passive & active?

Carl N.

Regardless of what mode these are in the pickups will remain active, the only change would be to the pickup's voicing

Laszlo V.

Does this guitar have a compound fingerboard radious?

Carl N.

This will have a 350mm radius as mentioned in our specifications.  Hope this helps!

TattooedCarrot (TC)

Can you make these in black satin or snow white? I can't imagine that unusual paint job is going to appeal to a wide audience. The specs however are great otherwise (hardtail in particular). If I can score one used I'll strip it and paint it.

Carl N.

Currently just available in what we have listed on our site.  Good luck with the repaint!

Mark F.

I feel you.   White is my favorite for electric guitars too.

It's my assumption, and I hope that I am right, that the M-HT Arctic Metal is basically this guitar with 1 EMG tap-able (2 bridge pickups in 1) versus 2 Fishmans.

Mine is on order, and I can't wait to find out for myself.

Patrick P.

I finally got my one and i'm super amazed but are there any informations about the neck-radius becaus i'm not totally satisfied with the factory bridge setup. thx

Todd B. ESP

Hi Patrick, the radius on the fingerboard is 350mm. If you need any help please email our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com

Darrin E.

Just wanted to say something here..I think a gig bag at the least should come with a $1000 guitar..just my opinion thanks

Todd B. ESP

Hi Darrin, Thank you. We appreciate this feedback.

Michael S.

Any idea how much this guitar weighs?

Carl N.

Generally about 8lbs

Macedonio C.

Is there going to be one available with a Floyd rose with the black fade color ?

Carl N.

Hey Macedonio, nothing in the works currently.

Austin E.

This is one of the sickest newer LTD guitars to come out in a long time. It’s literally perfect for my style of playing, and I really want to purchase it, but I’m left handed. Do you know if there will be a lefty version available soon?

Carl N.

Hey Austin, should have one a little later this year, we'll be awaiting your order.

Johannes M.

We need a guitar equipped with basic M-series setup (350mm radius, extra thin-U, 25,5" scale, EMG 60-81 or 81-85 and M-body, obviously) with a HARD TAIL. There are a ton of M-guitars with this setup in stock already but they all have a Floyd Rose, so to me it feels stupid not to have a hard tail version.

Carl N.

Thanks for sharing Johannes!

Farhan R.

Agreed. That would be my ideal guitar.

Mark F.

The new Arctic Metals should fill this order.

Nicolas L.

Release date? Price?

Carl N.

Hey Nicolas, these are out now.  Pricing is available on our site for our customers viewing within the U.S.  If you are outside of the U.S. you would need to reach out to your local ESP distributor for pricing.

Wayne Landini

What are the dimensions on the Extra Thin U neck profile? (Thickness at the 1st and 12th)

Carl N.

Hey Wayne, 19mm-21mm hope this helps!

george p.

Carl N. the quality difference between korean instruments and indonesian ones is massive.

I have a korean ltd h400 (2005 - 2006) and it's built better than the indonesian h3-1000.

That's why i am asking. If i am to be a customer again i would like to know which instruments I am going to aim for.

The indonesian ones are definitely not for me. Also really sad that you seem to have moved most of your production there.

The korean 400 series were perfect.

(pls note that this is just someone's opinion)

Krzysztof M.

Opinion, but as I see it is not the only one. Raises doubts. I have an H-1001fm stblk made in Korea, it's perfect. I was thinking now of something from Floyd Rose, and this year's models are really interesting, but when I read all these opinions about the 1000 series from Indonesia, I don't know if I will decide. I bought a new H-1001 and I expected it to be an instrument for years and it is. I am afraid that if I sell and take a new model I will regret it. Unfortunately, I can't afford to own two, let alone take risks.

Carl N.

Hey Krzysztof, opinions are just that, opinions.  Best way to find something out would be to check them out yourself.  Stop into an ESP dealer and go through their selection and see how they make you feel.  Hope you enjoy whatever it is you decide on.

Carl N.

Hey George, completely understandable, I try and convey that quality will be the same regardless of which factory the instrument comes from but it is hard to sway someone that already has their opinion set.  I have been with ESP just about ten years now and have gone through nearly 40,000 instruments in this time, I cannot stress enough that quality is the same, I feel like a broken record at times.  There will always be an instance where individual instruments differ, this is the nature of the industry.

george p.

@ Carl N. Anyway. This is going far and i don't want it to.

I don't understand why you would move your "premium" line of instruments to Indonesia. The Koreans were excellent(both the 1000 and the 400 series).

Krzysztof M. Dude you have a great guitar. A friend of mine has that one and it is stellar. My two cents. Don't sell it. Especially if it was your first.

Also Carl is right. Don't let me or anyone else cloud your judgement. The internet for the most part is confusing. Go out and try whatever you like. If you really like it, you can't go wrong. Your hands and the way you will feel the instrument can't be wrong. It's personal taste after all.

*I would recommend, in case you are looking for a new instrument to go hunt for a used ESP. Used they usually cost close to the price of the 1000 series. I promise you it will be extremely different than anything you laid your hands on.

Carl N.

No worries George, when you don't have as much experience with these factories it is easy to come to conclusions about them.  What I just try and say is that the quality will be on par from one factory to another, no reason to cause concern because an instrument is made in one country rather than another.  The quality standards are the same for our 1000 series instruments regardless of what country they are produced in.  Hope this helps!

Krzysztof M.

"Zatrzymaj się u dealera ESP i przejrzyj jego ofertę i zobacz, jak się czujesz. "

Carl N.

Unfortunately, this is a problem in my country. The closest official dealer is in Germany, far away. In Poland, there are often lower, cheaper series in the store. Of course, the deluxe series and ESP standard / E II also happen, but this is random. Rather, you need to order and decide. We'll see, maybe someone will try and have guitars in stock (probably in half a year :(  ).

Carl N.

Hope for the best for you Krzysztof!
