Those are pretty damn sweet! And I'm happy to see the old logos back.

Jeff K.

Thanks KFW. It's been a lot of hard work by a lot of people on both sides of the Pacific! We feel great going into the NAMM Show with this arsenal.

I'm sad that you guys never did anything with the V-II shape other than black and with a doofy pick guard.  What gives here Jeff?  I understand V's likely don't make the $ like they used to but simply changes would have escalated that model.  I didn't want to have to get a Jackson.

Jeff K.

We do this every year, exhibit. Some years we lean harder in certain areas. This year, with the introduction of the FRX, Mystique, RB Series, AP Series, Stream, and so on, we chose not to also add to the V Series and several other product areas. We tend to only offer as many guitars and basses as we feel we can properly support. Thanks for your input, though.

Full thickness figured tops for the original and USA guitars?

Sweet!

Is E-II replacing LTD Elite? A lot of those models look very similar...

Jeff K.

Several former LTD Elite models have moved into the E-II range. Like the rest of the E-II guitars, they're built in Tokyo at the ESP factory.

ProfessorExp

Interesting. Theres some cool guitars there but I feel like the lines have gotten kind of confusing. I suppose it will be easier to understand when the site is updated and all the guitars are spec'd and priced.

Jeff K.

We'll be posting info next week that will clarify everything in that regard.

Leo Vannucci

Hi Jeff!

Looks like I've been confused all along. I emailed ESP's customer service a few days ago and I was told that the ESP Standard line was NOT going to be re-branded into the E-II line, meaning, I was still going to be able to get an ESP Standard Horizon FR-7 or NT-7 (with the ESP logo on the headstock, not the E-II). Now I've been reading and apparently the LTD Elite and the ESP Standard are "merging" into E-II? I just saw the "E-II" Horizon FR-7... Question is, will the current ESP Standards, still be available? I mean, seriosuly, a logo change for just 1 year? My ESP Horizon has a slanted block logo similar to the LTD Elite logo, and makes me wonder if I bought a "transitional" model with a temporary logo, and now in the future, I will have to buy a guitar branded E-II instead of ESP. Please let me know if that's the case, I'll try to get my hands on another FR-7 before I have to buy one with a new sub-brand on the headstock...

Jeff K.

Hi Leo. We'll clarify this further very soon, but our current product lines as of January 2014 are as follows:

- ESP Custom Shop

- ESP Original

- ESP USA

- ESP E-II

- LTD

This allows us to have a much more consistent line of products to offer most of the world, and it's much less fragmented than before. Keep in mind that E-II models are exactly what "ESP Standard" used to be, manufactured by our luthiers in our own factory in Japan. Hopefully all of your questions will be answered by some information we'll post this week. Thanks!

Leo Vannucci

I see, so the E-II series is basically the ESP Standard line, except it's been rebranded, correct? So in other words, it will be the exact same guitar as my 2013 FR-7?

Jeff K.

Correct. I believe the spec on the FR-7 is precisely the same as the former ESP Standard Horizon FR-7 (neck-thru alder body, original Floyd, EMG 707's, etc.).

Leo Vannucci

I see. So the ESP "slanted" logo was just made for 2013, and now if I were to buy a new one, it will have to say E-II? Is that E-II logo made of MOP? Looks like it on some pictures. Also, what happened to the NT-7, I see that E-II offers a baritone version only, and in satin black...

You guys really stepped it up this year. I'm going to have to start saving for a TE-7.

Zorlac

I think exhibit has already posted this. Thanks for the reminder tho.

I kinda like that sparkly silver EC1000, along with a lot of the blue M/H bodied guitars with Floyds.

Really like all the options here,  got some really nice finish options,  happy to see some old logos, and classic headstocks, and a lot of nice transparent finishes.  Looks like Esp put a lot of effort into the product lines this year.   It would have just be easier to offer the mII in a few color choices.  snow white with black hardware, or bright red with black hardware would be nice.   Anyway really like the FRX and Mystiques, its good to see some new body shapes available here,  Stongly considering buying that horizon ctm nt antique brown sunburst or the see thur black miii usa, or one of the usa eclipses, or a mysitque or an FRX.   It very nice to be seeing a catalog full of guitars that I can dream about owning.   I rember feeling this way about the guitars in the late 90's and early 2000's,  I now own quite a few of those,  hopefully one day I will own several of these.

Diggin'em really bad! They look really sweet.

OutlawTorn

Old logos and cockstocks FTW!!! Well done fellas!

singlecoilpickup

Hmmm... that Vintage Natural USA Eclipse looks pretty sweet.

Dr. West

They suck as bad as the new forums.

Only because I still dream of a day when ESP makes standard old school horizons available in plain colors. :/

That being said, not bad actually. Some of those made me go "hey, awesome"

metalhobo
