48th St. Tele ??

Is this a early 48th St. ESP and what do the numbers mean ??

(1980's era) esp parts body - made in japan -  probably distributed out of 48th street - it is possible it was assembled into a guitar by them,

An ESP parts  neck would have had ESP engraved into the back of the headstock.   Its also a traditional shaped headstock which

would tend ot indicate a made for overseas market.   Cannot see enough of the neck to tell you anything definite.

From what I am seeing It is more likely made and assembled in japan by ESP for overseas markets.

Thanks for your reply JT76it is not a Fender neck and im still wondering what the numbers on the neck heel mean ?? looks like a ebony fretboard too with a gloss finish

Looks like you have stumbled upon a vintage ESP guitar discussion. The 48th St. Tele likely refers to the ESP Original Series model produced around 48th Street NYC. The numbers could signify specific features or production details.
