Hello Todd,
I need to get a replacement nut for my B-206SM. Could you provide the measurements and a source to get a replacement? I want to make sure I get the right part. I don't know what to buy.
Thank you for your time,
Roger
Hi RJD, Sorry for the late reply to your question. Please contact our customer service dept. by email so they can help you find the right size: customerservice@espguitars.com
Is it possible to make a lighter weight 6 string bass ?
Hi Tony, Yes it is possible however the body and neck size on a 6 string bass is larger than a 4 or 5 string so it is naturally predisposed to being heavier. Something like a swamp ash or alder body might be able to reduce the weight, but that would be much more expensive. We used to make an RB-1006 model which was really light. It's not currently being produced but you might be able to find one used or still new at a dealer. It is much higher price than the B-206.
I recently picked up the B-206SM and love it. I am considering changing the knobs. Could you tell me what size and type the volume, balance, & eq knobs are? Are the pots solid shaft or split shaft? I'm looking at parts sources and don't know what to get. Thank you.
Hi RJD, All the knobs are split shaft and they are a standard size for import style pots. You can install any type of dome knob or plastic push on knob.
Ok, very cool. I've order some Q-parts Natural Abalone Knobs with pearl black finish to go with the black nickel.
Hi RJD, Great!
All my life playing 4 strings Fenders p and jazz basses. Few days ago I visit Sam ash music store and came across the Ltd b206 , I played it for half hour and just was amazed. I left the store and after dreaming on that guitar all night I couldn’t ignore it and back to the store to take it . Getting use to play 6 strings ... simply love this guitar . Looks Feel and sound great , and the price ....... wow .... so happy . It nice to add this 6 strings to my collection
