I'm disapointed with this m200. The gloss black version doesn't exist anymore, and furthermore the neck is thicker than old models (m50, m100...).

It's not confortable to play, not dame quality for a Big jump Price !

M50FR wasn't around 600€, with better neck

I found one at a Guitar Center in South Portland, Maine… wish I grabbed it, its neck was perfectly straight. If I buy one direct from you, I want the same thing… and I really do think I am overdue to treat myself. This is perfect…@

I purchased my ESP LTD  M-200FM

used but in excellent condition because the lost interest in learning. So I bought the guitar with case and a Line 6  Spider lll  75 watt amp, Boss Metal Zone MT-2 effects pedal, ESP GT-303 tuner and all the cords for $300!              Does anyone think I got a good deal?      Sometimes you are in the right place at the right time and I am so fortunate to own such an awesome guitar. I have been playing for 40 years and have bought and sold many guitars but this has to be the best electric I have ever owned. I absolutely love it!

I bought this guitar last week after having a Yamaha pacifica 012. It was a massive upgrade, but I had one issue at first, the floyd rose bridge, it was really annoying at first but after the first week it will be good and give you a lot of pros over cons. overall the guitar is a 10/10.

Can it handle 10-52 or even heavier gauges?

The Seymour Duncan black winter neck pickup have an output of 13K. The bridge has an output of 16.6K. Can this guitar handle those pickups with that high output. Or would they be to hot for this guitar?

Jaiden T.

I love this guitar, pretty much the first real one i got. I got the see through red. Mine has the arrowhead inlays and the active pickups is this a different model?

Cameron S.

Hi !! I am using this guitar and it is a great budget shred guitar. Now I want to ask can I replace the stock floyd rose with a special or any other high end floyd rose? Will they fit?
Thank you !!

Christopher R.

I remember buying one of these when they came with floyd rose special and esp designed pickups. They were about 400 bucks i believe. I ended up selling due to tremelo stripping out. Wish they has a hard tail back then.

kusbiantoro t.

what do you mean stripping out, is it just the paint, corrosion, or the metal cracking?

Jeff A.

Can this guitar handle D standard?

Todd B. ESP

Hi, Yes it can. All our guitars can cover a range of tunings, all you need to consider is modifying the string gauge. I would suggest at least 10-46 or 11-52 gauge would probably be best for this tuning. And you will need to readjust your bridge springs, neck truss rod tension, etc.

Es de puente fijo o flotante?

I got my M200FM about 10 years ago (more or less) and it has a thru neck, black covers on the pickups and a coil tap to make the pickups single coil or humbuckers. Also has arrow shaped fret markers and a bar on the 12th fret that M-200FM on it. Also the back of the neck is also painted black.

Carl N.

thanks for sharing! I think that might have been an M-300 which we discontinued in 2014

Barry G.

Yes, looks the same except mine is black, but mine says m200fm

, did I get a better guitar than what I ordered???

Mario T.

Hi Barry, I have the very same model you described, and also got it 10 or 12 years ago. The bar at 12th fret displays the model M200 FM

Raoul K.

same with mine. serial number starts with IR06, so it must have been made in 2006.

Tyson P.

Same as all you guys, I traded mine in just over a year ago, wish I had kept it. IR06 (I bought mine in 06) serial number as well, I had modified mine but it was neck thru M200Fm see through black, and back then they had arrowhead inlays and LH-300 pickups with cover bobbins (that i had swapped out anyway but were a lot like a passive set of EMGs). Beautiful guitars, and I paid, I think, around $700 Canadian monopoly monies for it with a case. It was also an agathis wood body with a rosewood fingerboard. I loved it, played the frets down to nothing.

Sean B.

Is there a difference between the M-200fm and the normal M-200 or is it just color

Carl N.

Yes, the 200FM will have a flamed maple veneer.

Tim S.

Do you know if a German made original floyd rose will drop right in this guitar?

Are these pickups high output?

I played an EC Vietnamese 256 and really was shocked at how good the LTD pickups sounded. They were really good.

Carl N.

These are the same pickups that are in your 256.  Unfortunately we don't test aftermarket parts on our production models, best to have a qualified technician perform this for you if you are unfamiliar with the process.

Thx a lot guys!

Blake K.

Allparts? Is that a store?

Blake K.

Thx Nathan, ya the blackouts have all the extras, I was looking for the actual knobs , do u know the thickness of the pickup rings? The ones I have are 2 different thicknesses and the pickups r really loose , they rock back and forth, this is my first overhaul, just looking for tips , thx a lot

Nathan M.

Personally, I buy things like that from EMG directly because I know and trust the brand. allparts.com is also fairly reputable. For ring size, it's best to measure. Most of the time, bridge pickups with a Floyd Rose are 'f-spaced' which can make them a little wider. They should still usually fit in a normal sized ring. https://www.emgpickups.com/parts/mounting-rings.html they list all the dimensions and should make it easy to find what you need. They also sell knobs
