1x10 or 1x12 cabinets

I'm about to get a Blackstar HT-5 this week, but I am undecided on what cabinet to get. I'm undecided on whether to get the 1x10 HT combo (either half or full stack) or going with the Blackstar HTV 1x12 cabinet. I actually played it through the 1x10 and liked what I heard, but I've heard that playing through 1x12 cabinets produces an overall better tone. Anyone got any feedback between 1x10 or 1x12 cabinets?

It really depends on what you prefer. That said, I prefer a 1x12 over a 1x10. A little more low end/lower mids, usually. There is also a much larger selection of 12" speakers, should you ever want to change up the tone a bit. The amount of various 10's seem to be fewer, and often geared towards old Fender tones, for the most part.

Thanks for the input Jet, I want more of that lower end you were talking about, so I'm leaning towards the 1x12 right now.

Zilla, I would, but I'm an apartment dweller with paper thin walls.

Definitely 1x12. I've got the HT-5 with a 1x12 and it rules.
