played one the other day at guitar center. for a cheap bridge and pick up its not bad, i dont like maple board for some reason and i think the finish is too much but super awesome guitar. To be honest i wouldnt change a thing unless i had money to burn.
i liked how it played just can't stand the tiger design...
It's not a bad platform to build off of, but for roughly the same price, you can pick up a MW600 which plays better than the GL.

It's a solid platform to build off... even with the Floyd Special and ESP humbucker, it was a nice guitar. You figure, you can score a used 200 from ebay for $300-400, add a Duncan pickup for $80, and you'll still be ahead price wise from any of the new Charvels and miles ahead of the price of a real M-1 Tiger. I have yet to see one go for under a grand.
