Played this at a sam ash and was honestly an amazing guitar at first touch. Thing can chug run clean and can kill in drop D tuning, worth the price

Glad you approve!

Could someone reveal why the EC-1000 (and the other EC-1000 model line) all have 350mm fingerboard radius? when the ESP Eclipse (new model one's) guitar line all have 305mm radius (like the Gibson Les Paul Traditional model line) ?? What does the larger radius do compared to the 305mm radius? I'm guessing it enhances the metal sound better as its flatter (basically flat with zero curvature).

Carl N.

LTD guitars will mostly all have a 350mm radius whereas ESP models will feature a 305mm radius.  The radius will affect the curvature of the fingerboard/frets, it will not affect the tone of the instrument, this is solely something you feel while playing.

DangerMouse

This guitar is beautifully designed, hard to fault. I need one! Out of curiosity, are they still in production?

Carl N.

This is one of our most popular models...doubt it will ever go out of production

hey @DangerMouse you can buy this guitar on Reverb for $450-650 used (slightly used too), if you buy it new it will depreciate by roughly 40%. I was lucky and bought one from someone on Facebook Marketplace that was brand new (he played it a few times, but didn't have the time anymore to play so he wanted to sell it). There were some scratches on the hardware (screws on the bridge were a little messy due to him striping them a little) but that was it. I trusted the seller as he was a marine and had 2 other highly expensive guitars (PRS model worth $3,600 and a Gibson Les Paul Traditional which runs for like 3k-5k..). I also helped him validate those two guitars as I said a lot of people are faking guitars nowadays, so he wanted me to take those 2 guitars apart to see if they were indeed legit (they were). *Btw I bought this guitar for $570, so I was lucky to a degree, but those used ones make no difference compared to a new one imo...

If you want a basically brand new one of these i'll sell mine, as I'm looking at getting a ESP Eclipse for a couple reasons.. Idk I might just list it on Reverb and Ebay.

I have my eye on this model as well as the F series but I have no idea what kind of price range I'm looking at.

I went to a local dealer and they are selling this one at about $1500. A little rich for me, looking for something half that price...

Carl N.

Pricing will be listed on our site for customers within the U.S.  If you are outside of the U.S. you would need to contact a local ESP dealer or distributor for pricing in your region.

Yes unfortunately I'm in Canada. It would still be convenient to be able to see the US price and make it easier to select a guitar. That way by the time I go to my dealer I'll already know what one to put a down payment on and get them to order. Couldn't hurt.

Carl N.

Thanks for your opinion!

You're welcome.

Easier to shop = easier to buy.

Carl N.

Pricing differs from region to region so it would be no service to international consumers including a price to them that they could not use.  It would be best to reach out to your local ESP distributor regarding pricing and availability in your region.

Counterpoint Punk

I got one in 2008(iirc) @Steve's music for 1000 Canadian.

Thanks man, appreciate it! I think an F series might be more my thing though. I'm just looking for something different. I've been playing a Jackson for the last few years and I'd like a different body style this time.

This wouldn't be my first Ltd though. I actually had an F series ages ago. I thought it was called an F-50 if I can remember right? And I also had an Ax 401. I miss it.

yellow brings out black, i like it
