Where is this model made, in korea or indonesia?

Todd B. ESP

We are currently manufacturing this model in both Korea and Indonesia. However, we constantly monitor production standards at our various factories in Asia where we produce LTD models. Should we determine that a certain facility is capable of manufacturing an instrument to ESP's required standard or better, we may decide to shift production, or in some cases share production of a model, wherever that factory may be located. The guitar should be of excellent quality regardless of where it's made, and it will have passed our own quality assurance testing.

  1. Road  Runner has a generic Les Paul case that fits perfectly, I bought one because some dick at Guitar Center swiped the ESP case it comes with.  The RR is about 90 dollars.  It's a case and does its job, I don't care if there's a "prestige" brand on it.

Hi. I bought this model in 2008 (there's a EC-1000 inlay at the 12th fret) and I absolutely love it. I played it so much that now the frets have worn out and it's time for me to change them. I want to know if they cut the tangs on the frets in 2008 so that the frets are not embedded in the neck binding? (there's a 5ply abalone binding on the neck)

Carl N.

All necks with binding would have the tangs cut back, this isn't specific to any one model or brand, this is standard for musical instruments with bound necks.  I'd recommend taking this to a professional to have the worked performed, this would help to avoid any unwanted damage to your instrument.
