This guitar looks excellent.  The materials mention a chambered body.  What details can you provide on this?  Is it similar to an ES-335 that has a solid center block and "wing" chambers, or something more like the weight-relief Les Paul's that have multiple mini-chambers throughout the body?  Also, are there any demo's of the unplugged acoustic tone?  I haven't been able to find any online.  Thanks for your help.

Hi Scott, the body has a large chamber on each side of the body. you can see the chamber on the side with the F- hole. There is a solid center block. Sorry there are no demos showing unplugged acoustic tone. In this type of guitar the sound will be much better when plugged in versus unplugged due to the construction.

I have the LTD TL6 and am struggling with getting a "good" acoustic sound. I'm playing through a Fishman Loudbox amp. It's missing the warmth of the true acoustics, and just sounds like an electric guitar on a clean channel. Got any suggestions that might help me recover that sound I had with my Tanglewood Auditorium Acoustic guitar ? Guitar / Amp settings, effect pedals ? I play on a church worship band and am a "heavy strummer", I hit the guitar hard at times. So due to that it just seems to ring and ring and ring, almost slurring chords together, or sustains what seems forever. Acoustic response is nothing like that. Help, I'm about to trade it off.

you could always check our forums to see how other TL users are setting these up or if you have any questions you may reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com or https://www.espguitars.com/pages/support

I'd like to know if its possible' which of these models have khaya invorensis back and sides, and which have a spruce top...Thanks

Carl N.

Hey Giorgos, the thin line instruments do not use separate pieces for backs and sides as these are constructed in a similar manner to solid body electric guitars.  The wood used would be sourced from Asian continents as opposed to African sources that khaya ivorensis would be from.  All instruments using a spruce top will denote this in the specifications as this one does.

Giorgos G.

Thanks for the reply, but here they assume to be khaya, maybe its a mistake?

Carl N.

Hey Giorgos, this would be a mistake on their end.

Ethan S.

How would this sound without being run through an amp? Does it sound close to a full acoustic?

Carl N.

Hey Ethan, you wouldn't be able to get the same volume as an acoustic playing this unplugged but it would have much more volume than that of an electric instrument.

Marcio P.

I couldn’t find this model or any other TL series model in Europe (UK and NL). Do you know which online store is possible to buy it?

Carl N.

Hey Marcio, I'd recommend contacting your local ESP distributor, they would be in charge of importing these instruments to your region.
