NOTE: Due to ongoing challenges in the global supply chain, instruments purchased from ShopESP that are not currently in stock may take an extended time frame to be delivered.

While ESP first got started in 1975 as a small repair shop in Tokyo, it was really toward the mid ‘80s when our guitars and basses grabbed the attention of players around the world. The LTD ’87 Series are faithful recreations of this set of instruments from ESP’s 1987 catalog. Unlike the current single-cutaway Eclipse shape, the original ESP Eclipse was based on the TE archtop shape,  which is the basis of the LTD Eclipse ’87. This guitar offers neck-thru-body construction with a mahogany body and three-piece maple neck. The ’87 Series Eclipse models offer a set of Seymour Duncan ’59 (neck) and JB (bridge) pickup set (with original style bobbins and a push-pull control to split the coils), and a Floyd Rose-1000 locking tremolo.

I love mine. Great guitar.

Do you guys sell the LTD locking tuners?  I may buy an LTD model that doesn't have them, but would like to put them on it if I buy it.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Rob, Sorry we do not sell those tuners separately at this time.

If you have any questions not answered on our product page, please contact ESP Customer Service at customerservice@espguitars.com

Hey guys! I just did a review and demo video for the '87 Eclipse! If you're interested in checking it out, you can find here: https://youtu.be/1oJfoEE3WRo

Cool

Should have used the original Kamikaze neck on that. Pity you charge 5 times the worth of a guitar to get what you want, though.
