Just picked one of these up, really love it!

Pictures don't do the finish justice. Most photos make the paint look flat bright white, but it is is an off-white pearl color with a beautiful texture to it. It has little flecks in it that give it a bit of sparkle at an angle without being too flashy. I love that the pickguard is matte finish as well, it's a great contrast.

So far, I'm really pleased, you can go full shred with 24-fret access and locking tremolo, or tap into that single coil sound and tackle classic rock, blues, funk. Truly versatile guitar with classic yet aggressive looks!

Setup was good out of the box, I tightened up the spring tension just a tad to correct about a degree or two of float angle and adjusted for a bit more relief on the neck, but that's expected after shipping, changing climates and letting the wood adjust. String height and intonation were spot on.

Hi. Can you tell me if the thin u neck contour starts narrow and gets wider? I’ve played a Music Man evh and axis for years. Recently got Charvel SC1 but the neck is a bit wide from 1st to 5th fret but I got used to it. Is this ESP neck somewhere between the two I have? I love everything else about this model.

All necks will start narrow at the nut then widen as is goes down the fingerboard.  I cannot speak about the charvel but this will be 42mm at the nut and widen to about 57mm at the end of the fingerboard

I really like this guitar! I love pearl white and seafoam green. Those 2 colors have sort of become my "signature" colors. I'm not sure about the "roasted" maple because I prefer regular maple or rosewood to ebony. I wish it was guardless though. I would really like to try this but have my eye on another brand with the zebra-style pups.

I'm not familiar with the SE bridge. Is it much different than the Floyd Rose special?

Carl N.

You can view it as an upgraded FR special

You won't really notice a difference. I think the 1000 has somewhat thicker fine tuners and a handle that supposed to have zero play in it.

Where can I find instructions on the 5-way switch and which positions activate which configuration? Just bought this, arrived today, no manual. Only manual I can find on line seems to be for dual hum-bucker set-up. Thanks in advance.

Hey Alan, five-way switches are pretty common, bridge - bridge/middle - middle - middle/neck - neck.  Hope this helps.
