How deep goes the set thru into the body?  Up to neck pickup, bridge pickup, or Floyd posts?

Carl N.

Hey Marius, set-thru is a term we use for instruments built with a set neck but carved to have a heel similar to a neck thru.  Set neck instruments typically have a tenon about 1 1/2" past the end of the fingerboard.  Hope this helps.

Looks amazing!!

Feel like I'd have such issues restringing that floating bridge though.

Hey Charles, check out this video we posted regarding Floyd Rose string changes, might help out!!

To ESP team:

You are professionals and you know what you are doing, but I am asking you to consider three things that I think the guitarist community find important these days.

  1. Stainless steel frets. (also on LTD guitars) I think this is essential today.

  2. Make seven string models' scale longer than 25.5 inches. I think 26.5 would be ideal. (or at least have a model with 26.5 scale length in each series.)  I think everyone could handle it, and the intonation of string B would be better.

  3. Have more fixed bridge models beside TOM bridge. This is obviously a matter of taste, but in terms of intonation and setup, this solution is clearly better than TOM.

I also think it's more comfortable for the right hand.

  4. This is just an extra: truss rod at the heel.
Tuhin Z.

I like these suggestions. Especially the 26.5 scale. I would love to see a variant of this guitar with fishman fluences and a satin finished neck. Looking forward to what's coming out next from ESP!

Kevin T.

Thanks Tuhin.

The MH 1007 is a fantastic guitar by the way. Like other LTD models in 1000 series. I'm happy with these guitars and I don't want to complain in any way. When looking at brands that cover a similar market as ESP / LTD, I think the above needs are necessary. I obviously can't expect to have 3-4 kinds of MH 1007, I know. :)

By the way, the ESP M-II NT series is what I like best from the current range.

E-II M-II NT BLACK NATURAL FADE

E-II M-II NT BLACK TURQUOISE BURST

They are terribly beautiful, but at the high price they don't include some features that for example the "S" letter brand's some signature and other models have.

Hey Kevin, these are all nice suggestions.  Thanks for taking the time to inform us!

Ben N.

Kevin, could not disagree with you more in regards to stainless steel frets.  For me, they are way to bright of a tone for my tastes and musical genre.  If your a country or bluegrass player, I could understand why you would want that tone.  I do agree there should be an option between stainless and nickel, but just because you want it doesn't mean you speak for everyone or even a majority.

Carl N.

Hey Ben, great comment!  The fret material between nickel/silver and stainless steel would be Jescar's Evo Gold...though I am sure if we added that to our catalog people would find something to dislike about it.

Thanks for your recommendation Prisciliano!

Hello,
Awesome guitar, I own it since two month ! But I deeply need this guitar with an Evertune bridge or at least with a fixed tremolo so I can put one in

Hopes this will be for 2020 I think there is not enough non only black guitar on the market today !

Carl N.

Hey Adrien, glad you're enjoying it and thanks for your recommendation!!
