How does this MH-1000HS compare to the H-1001FR? The specs look absolutely identical. It appears the only difference is the abalone binding and inlay, and the shape of the headstock.

Carl N.

Yes, specs will be fairly similar between the two.

Just Picked one up. Very nice plays great. Very happy, but the little things you guys may want too look at. The Korean Factory makes the best foreign made guitars and I have LTD's made in Korea and Indonesia. My Korean LTD Eclipse are just as good if not better than my Japanese made ESP Eclipse.

Indonesia has gotten a lot better, but they still have some improvement to be made. For example the trem spring covers and electronic cover back plate screws were not drilled straight in meaning the screw heads would not screw down flush on several of the holes. The finish showed smearing and imperfections right at the neck joints where the binding meets the body. Not a huge deal but just thought I would pass along some constructive criticism.

I really do like the choice of the Duncan Pegasus in the bridge, it is perfect for this guitar. The neck pickup is a little on the dull side even split in single coil mode, just a little to bass heavy. But I am glad you guys are branching out from the dull and overused EMG 81 sets that have dominated the product lines for so many years. The new Duncan and new Fluence pickups are great alternatives.

All in all I am very happy with this guitar.

That finish is beautiful in-person. I wish this came in a HH configuration.  You were that close to have me buying one this year.

Carl N.

Here you go Thrash, buy this one.

Just picked this up. Absolutely beautiful guitar, and exactly what I was looking for. I love the pegasus pickup, and wanted an HS combo. Would prefer a non trem, but still love the guitar.

Thanks for sharing Jared, glad you are enjoying it!

Hi, could you tell more about tremolo, please?
It says 1000SE (which is low profile version of Original and goes retail around $200+), while on photos it looks like Special (with retail around $90).
Thank you. It's a beautiful guitar!

Hi Marcin, THe 1000 series is a bridge produced in Asia by Floyd Rose and has the same specs as Original FLoyd Rose. It is not available for purchase on its own, only for OEM production by companies like us and other brands. The "SE" portion just means that we upgraded the screws to stainless screws (for the nut clamping screws, saddle hold down screws and the string lock screws). Although I can't give you a retail value I can say that it compares to the Original Floyd in Quality and materials but with a lower price, and much superior quality compared to the Special. Hope this helps!

Hi! Thank you kindly for such a wide answer. I can't wait to have one  Those beautiful guitars are still to come to UK, but I'm on wait-list already
I'm not bothered with FR prices - this was only a kind of way to express quality difference to me.
I was looking for a HS guitar with LTD neck shape and mahogany body for long. Now it is to come  Thank you!
