Highly disappointed to see all these new models being made in Indonesia. ESP is one of my favorite brands and I hate to see them cut corners. They should keep the deluxe series Korean made.

marcelo s.

Totally agree...what a shame, just when I was thinking in a new EC deluxe...maybe I can still find a 2018 Korea

Todd B. ESP

HI Marcelo, I suggest you try one out. Don't rule it out just because it is made in Indonesia.

marcelo s.

what's the difference with the 401 now? just locking tuners and locking tailpiece?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Marcelo, the main difference is what you pointed out, locking tuners and Tonepros bridge, but also the pickups in the EC-1001T CTM are the new EMG 57/66-TW set which with metal covers which allow you to split the coils. One more thing is fingerboard being ebony for many of the 1000 series compared to pau ferro for the 400 series.

Don't judge before you try one.

Depending on where you buy, you may be able to return the guitar if it is below your expected quality.

On the other hand, if I buy this guitar, it will be a special order through ESP dealer who doesn't sell any LTD guitar. It will come with no return policy. I can't check or try beforehand. I have to accept and pay it regardless of its quality.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Johny, thanks for your comments. If you wish to purchases one please check our dealer or distributor list and hopefully you can find a dealer who has a standard return policy should you need it.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Seth, thanks for your comments. We always maintain our quality level and it's something we've always been known for. So whether we produce an instrument in Indonesia or Korea, or anywhere else,  we'll ensure that the quality meets our high standards for the appropriate price point. I understand that Korea has manufactured some really great instrument but Indonesia is now where we and a lot of other brands manufacture some of our best instruments.

First of all, thank you for making silverburst again. I've been asking for this particular model since 2016. Imagine how happy I'm when I see this color in your 2019 product preview. Even better, it comes in full thickness with front and back body binding. I have two question,

1. The ESP distributor in my country only sells ESP not LTD. Do you think I can order LTD from them ?
2. Regarding the hardcase. We all know eclipse has thin body, but this one is full thickness. Can I put this guitar into regular EC case ?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Johnny, Please contact your local distributor and ask them. If they don't sell LTD please check our distributor list and contact the one on our list. Here is a link to our distributor page: https://www.espguitars.com/locations?categories=intl-distributors

For the case, our standard case will fit full thickness Eclipse. It will be a little tight at first but will work fine.

I know the the 1000t is made in Indonesia but is this ec-1001t Korean made?

352Dave

This is a great question. I would like to know as well.

Todd B. ESP

Hi 352DAve, this model is made in Indonesia.

onifuresprit

As far as I am aware this is made in Indonesia. All new ECs for 2019 are made there.

Todd B. ESP

Hi onifuresprit, Yes that is correct.

Todd B. ESP

Hi onifuresprit, Most if not all our 1000's are now made in Indonesia. This one included.
