PELHAM BLUE

AP-4
$849.00

With the LTD AP-4 and AP-5, we started with a traditionally-styled body, but then took things in a new, high-performance direction that only ESP can offer. Designed to be a bass that blows away the expectations of players of any musical style, from metal to punk, reggae to funk, the AP-4 and 5-string AP-5 have the great playing feel and the professional components that make it a winner by any definition. It begins with a classic bolt-on design, with an alder body and smooth, thin U-shaped maple neck at 34" scale. For an excellent variety of tone, the AP-4 offers a set of active EMG P and LJ pickups, with a volume, balance, and tone control to dial in your sound quickly. It offers a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 21 extra-jumbo frets, reliable Grover tuners, and a Babicz FCH-4 bridge for terrific tone transfer and sustain. Available in Black and Pelham Blue finishes.

Any help curing the horrible fret buzz that comes with this bass? I am an esp whore and have never had any issues until this one. I took it in and had them set it up and they couldn’t even cure the fret buzz.

Carl N.

Typically a proper setup would alleviate this or at the least bring the issue to light.  Perhaps take this to a different technician if the previous ones are unable to sort out the issue.

Any chance of an ESP short scale with a 41mm nut width? Every brand that makes a short scale makes them in horrible body shapes and wacky colors. There is a normal (PB style) short scale out there for $2 grand. Ouch!

Carl N.

Hey Kevin, thanks for your input but currently we have no plans for a 41mm short scale bass.
