Completely unique in its bold design, the ESP E-II Arrow is a guitar designed for pure high performance that will stand out from the crowd. Like all ESP E-II models, the Arrow is made in Japan at our ESP factory. Offering neck-thru-body construction, the E-II Arrow offers a sound as powerful and aggressive as its looks, with a set of EMG 85 (neck) and EMG 81 (bridge) active pickups. It has a light alder body with a 3-piece thin U-shaped maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets. High-quality components on the E-II Arrow include ESP strap locks, Gotoh locking tuners, and a Floyd Rose Original bridge. Available in Black as well as new Snow White and Silver Fade finishes, as well as a non-tremolo version. Includes ESP hardshell case.
I got my ESP E-II Arrow just over a month ago as I was searching for a new shape of guitar to help alleviate my frozen shoulder condition. The conventional super strat shape guitars doesn't cut it for me anymore because the pain and discomfort will flare up after 15 minutes of playing. Having owned several mid 90s ESP Mirages and some LTD guitars in the past, it wasn't hard to make a decision.
Enter the ESP E-II Arrow. I bought it from a dealer in Japan and had it shipped to Malaysia. Having never owned a V shaped guitar before, I had no idea what to expect but I was drawn in by the ergonomics and design of the Arrow, like the cutaway at the bottom to anchor your leg for a more comfortable playing position. For the longest time, I had avoided active pickups favoring high output passive ones instead. But boy, was I blown away with the EMG 81/85 combo in the Arrow. It's thick and punchy yet clear and crisp but not harsh nor ice picky. Love the definition. The radius of 12" is a little more rounded that what I'm used to, but allows me to play with the same dexterity and speed as my other flatter radius guitars when I had the Arrow slung low.
After over a month of ownership and playing the Arrow, I can safely say that it has rejuvenated my mood and feel for playing it daily as I'm able to put in 2 to 3 hours of constant practice and playing without feeling any pain or discomfort in my shoulder.

P.S. I love the Arrow so much that I've ordered another one from BigBoss Guitars in Tokyo. It should be arriving in the next 12 to 24 hours
I been waiting so long to finally receive this one today from thoman but when I open the thoman box there is no esp original factory box just hardcase with black cover
After I checked hardcase I found so many scratches
The worst part was I found paint damage end of up side wing.
I paid it for factory sealed brand new one.
Is this normal from eap guitar company that sending without original box and damage paint guitar????
