Mine arrived yesterday. Great weight and feel, be sure to charge up the luminlay markers. They're nice and bright in low light. Mine has the EMG set I play in drop C# either full fuzz or full gain and takes it well. Tuners are not locking for those asking but I will swap them out eventually. Gotoh is the only way to go!! Put on my strap lock buttons and my only minor critique would be the placement on that upper horn. It can get a bit annoying on your hip if you play straight on. Very happy with it and will slowly do some upgrades in time
Will this model still be available? Or did the volsung-200 take over for 2023? I think it’s awesome and I was hoping there would be a more affordable model because 1700 dollars isn’t punk rock. But the volsung distressed model with the EMG DMF SIGNATURE pickups and GITD dot inlays is thin neck and light weight is awesome !
Is the Volsung head heavy on the guitar strap? If so, how can this be changed?
(I hate it when the guitar falls when I take my left hand off the neck)
Hey!
Are the Gotoh tuners locking on this guitar?
Are theses made in Korea or Indonesia?
Thanks!
These will be non-locking tuners. Currently produced in Korea
I recently purchased the Volsung in Danish Camo and noticed that it has taller frets in comparison and feel to my Les Paul, is this typical of ESP/LTD guitars.
Hey Derek, without knowing what particular frets are on your other instrument I would assume this is your first experience with extra jumbo frets. They're a bit wider and taller than most. Hope this helps.
