      I got this guitar a couple months ago and holy crap, this guitar is solid. I've used it live and stays in tune really well. I use Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottoms, so I had to set it up right after I received it, and I changed the knobs because the plastic ones just weren't doing it for me, but damn, what a machine.

            Hey Bucky, while you can use nearly any gauge string with this instrument you should be aware that these models are strung and setup for use with 10-46 gauge strings in standard tuning.  Changing these to a larger gauge and/or tuning would require your instrument to be setup to accommodate the larger diameter strings or lower tuning.  If you are unaccustomed to this process I would recommend having a local guitar technician perform this change for you, this should be no issue for a seasoned guitar technician.

              Awesome guitar! I just recently purchased this guitar and the sound , feel , and playability is as good as any $2000 guitar! The only thing i would like to see different on  this guitar is a matching headstock! I love the finish ,the metallic charcoal is awesome and the Duncan's are the bomb!!! Excellent job ESP!!!
