    If you’re a bass player ready to expand your sonic horizons, look no further than the B-208SM. It’s an 8-string bass with double course strings tuned in octaves, with the higher-pitched string placed above the standard bass pitch. The result is a full sound that is excellent for any kind of music, especially rock and metal power trios where the bass has to carry a lot of the weight. We’ve updated the B-208 in 2018 with an amazing spalted maple top, with its unique coloration and grain pattern highlights that make it stand out from the crowd. The B-208SM has a comfortable ash body, a thin U-shaped 5-piece maple/jatoba neck with a roasted jatoba fingerboard, and ESP Designed soapbar pickups with an active 3-band EQ. Available in Natural Satin finish.

    Hello. Just boight an B-208 B Series in See Through Black Flamed Maple.

    I like the color so much. Tested ot for the first time and it’s awesome to play.

    Will be using it on our upcoming gigs.

      In addition to the listed nut width of 45mm, would someone be kind enough to post the neck width at the 5th and 12th frets as well as the string to string measurement at the bridge? Pictures with calipers would be a plus :-)

          I've wanted an 8-string bass for 40+ years (yes I'm old ), so I finally bought myself a B-208SM, and now that I have it all I can say is I wish I hadn't taken so long to get one.  This axe is awesome. I played it at church, and got numerous compliments on my tone.  They even want to highlight it on some songs.

          First song I learned was a song about a boy named Jeremy, .

              I have one of these basses, a couple of years ago and I don't know where I can buy the strings to renew, I consulted the store where I bought it and they practically do not know them.
              Do you have an online store to buy new strings?
              I live in Chile

                      I purchased this mail-order a couple weeks ago and I couldn't be happier.  Of course, finding strings is a challenge since there are not many options available.  I bought this to supplement my Jackson 4 string bass, and I may have to switch loyalties to LTD now!  Expect a repeat customer out of me.
