M-400M

NATURAL SATIN

$749.00

The LTD 400 Series is designed with the professional performing and recording musician in mind, but is available at a price that even casual players can afford. With the M-400M, you get a sturdily well-built bolt-on shredding machine, complete with the classic M-style extra thin flat neck profile. This guitar's most noticeable feature is its great-looking mahogany top in Natural Satin finish, with the warmth of the wood contrasting perfectly with its black hardware. Its mahogany body and fast three-piece maple neck are constructed at 25.5" scale, with a 24 extra-jumbo frets on its pau ferro fingerboard. Like the rest of the M Series, simplicity is the key to the M-400M, with a single volume knob and a selector to choose between its high-output Seymour Duncan Jazz and Custom-5 pickups. The M-400M also includes Grover tuners and a Floyd Rose bridge. Also available in a Satin Black finish and EMG pickups with the M-400.

Harry H.

Hey there, I currently own an ESP Ltd Deluxe H-1001 and I love it! However, it's a bit heavy (weight wise) and I'm looking for a lighter guitar. Can you tell me what guitars you have that are on the lighter side? Thanks so much! Love ESP!

Todd B. ESP

Hey Harry, Thanks for your question. Usually our H or MH series are on the lighter side, however they can vary in weight. We do not offer a any specific model with light weight as a focus, but generally H/MH and SN/M are on the lighter side. You may have to try a few to find the one that has the right weight. Glad you like our guitars, thanks for choosing ESP!

If I was to replace the locking nut which one should I order from Floyd Rose ? The Dimensions you have listed here don’t match up with the ones listed on the Floyd Rose website.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Keith, you can use the R-3 from Floyd Rose. But the model we use on this guitar is called the Floyd Rose Special.  When you contact Floyd Rose, you can tell them you want the R3 version for your guitar. If you need any detailed help please contact our customer service team at customerservice@espguitars.com .

I really like the Schecter banshee 7-strings w/ FR but my allegiance is to ESP and I’d be proud to own this beauty. Would love to know how the JB Seymour Duncan sound on a guitar with mohagony body?

Todd B. ESP

HI David, Thanks for your allegiance to ESP! The JB is a rather hot sounding pickup with Alnico 5 magnets and overwound coils. It's been a "modern classic" for over 20 years at least. It depends what you are looking for whether you will like it or not. If you are going for high output and fat , thick, maybe even dark tones, this pickup will probably deliver that but if you want more clarity then I would suggest something with less output. There are so many choices when it comes to pickups that you can drive yourself crazy with all the options. The JB will be a good starting point for sure. Most people like it.

I only have an ec50 guitar I'm poor id love to win this it's a beauty of a guitar

Todd B. ESP

Thanks Andrew, we hope so!

Michael V.

Is the Extra Thin Flat neck thinner than the Extra Thin U neck?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Michael, These neck profiles are the same thickness. They are the thinnest necks we offer.
