Guitars in the LTD Deluxe Series are designed to offer the tone, feel, looks, and quality that working professional musicians need in an instrument, and are used every day by serious players on stages and in studios around the world. The M-1000HT takes the classic lines of the M Series and offers them in an amazing neck-thru-body, hardtail version that's topped with figured Hawaiian koa over its mahogany body. It comes equipped with a pair of premier-quality pickups: Seymour Duncan Jazz and Pearly Gates. Terrific design details are part of the M-1000HT, including black binding on the body, neck, and headstock. Hardware on this guitar includes a Hipshot fixed bridge with string-thru-body design to get terrific tone and sustain. Its extra thin, flat-shaped, three-piece maple neck continues the entire length of the guitar, offering a smooth heel joint so getting up to that 24th fret is fast and easy.

This guitar is very cool, a Floyd Rose version would be great, like the one from 2015. Or a Kahler 2300 version. I would pre-order it yesterday.

Tony L.

Is there no option to have this with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo? It's about the only thing I'd have different than stock.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Tony, This model is not offered in a Floyd Rose version and we don't offer different options for guitars since they are built according to the same specs you see online. However we could release something like this in the future with a Floyd bridge.

Jonathan N.

What's the difference between the neck on this guitar, "extra thin flat," and the "extra thin U" neck used on many of the other M series guitars?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Jonathan, They are both extra thin so they have the same thickness, but the thin flat shape is slightly flatter while our thin u shape is a little rounder. Both shapes are thin and comfortable.

There is many theories about pickups and now we have like hundreds different pups to choose from , but my choice for this guitar would be DiMarzio Mega Drive for bridge and DiMarzio Fred for neck position. Mega Drive is still available from DiMarzio and this is a little bit forgotten pick up . Tony's McAlpine "Maximum Security" was recorded with Mega Drive. They sounds great with mahogany body and rosewood or ebony fret boards . Shredding in higher registers on ebony board produce unbeatable highs. Second choice would be Seymour Duncan Blackouts. For years I have been using active Duncan's and EMG's and I prefer Duncan mostly for the low end. Of course all this above is matter of musical taste. There is no standards or rules in pickups selection, and I believe it shouldn't be. I tried a lot of pickups with my guitars and had tried almost all pickups offered by DiMarzio and Seymour, a few from PRS and Bare Knuckles , few Gibson's .You can find something interesting with all of them. About year ago I ordered set of custom pickups from very small pickup company in Germany. Rubezahl Toneabnehmer . I explained what I want and they build set of pickups for me (Sphinx...custom name)  About 4 minutes and 27 seconds after arriving I started installation. Warmed up amp and hit the strings......my jaw dropped. Sound of this pickups was incredible. Low end and singing highs. I was so surprised  But as I said...this is matter of taste and I believe there is a thousands peoples who love Pearly Gates and thousands of people who would choose other pickup.

Hi Dariusz, Thanks for all your comments. You're right, there are so many choices and a lot of great ones for everyone to pick from. What pickups each player likes is a matter of personal choice.

Dariusz M.

Solid colors would be great. I don't get only one thing about this guitar. Pickups. Pearly Gates ? This is like to put in to Lamborghini Aventador Geo Metro engine .

Todd B. ESP

Hi Dariusz, What kind of pickups would you put in this model?

Jonathan N.

In my experience SD Pearly Gates are fantastic pickups for blues and classic rock styles. Amazingly good, actually - like a PAF with a little more output. Someone who wants to play metal would probably want something heavier though.

Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your comments and suggestions.
