The LTD JC-4FM is the Signature Series bass for John Campbell of the respected American metal band Lamb of God. Starting with the curvaceous ESP Stream body style, John had us customize this bass with a killer combination of textures... flamed maple on the top, and smooth satin black finish on the sides. The JC-4FM has all the punchy, full-frequency tone you could want in a bass via its EMG 35P4X and EMG 35JX active pickups, along with an EMG BTC 2-band EQ that's accessed in a stacked control knob. A bolt-on design at 34" scale, the JC-4FM offers a dense swamp ash body and a super stable five-piece maple/purple heart neck, with a pau ferro fingerboard that has custom inlays and 21 extra-jumbo frets, as well as glow-in-the-dark side markers to see what you're doing when the lights go down. Other premier-level components on the JC-4FM bass include Hipshot Ultralite tuners, and a Hipshot A Style bridge.

Hi, I've seen recent photos of John with an Ltd version of this bass in a grey finish with Fishman Fluence pickups.  Is this model getting an update?  I was hoping it would be unveiled in the 2021 lineup.

Yo thanks for wishing me good luck. I found what I was looking for and it should be here this week

Carl N.

Hey James, hope you enjoy it when it arrives!

James P.

I've seen this in many cases have the 3 tuning pegs on one side and the other tuning peg on the lower side of the headstock. The image shows there being two tuning pegs on each side. I am not quite sure which one I would get if I were to order it. I am considering ordering this, but I only would if it has the 3 and 1 configuration. Does anyone know which one it is?

Carl N.

Hey James, there was an early version of this instrument being produced with a 3+1 style headstock but this has since been changed to a 2+2 style.  All new instruments of this model will have the 2+2 style headstock.

James P.

Darn. I’m probably going to search for the old model then

Carl N.

Good luck James!
