i like the black and white sort of motif that no other ec that i've seen has
This might be the most good-looking ESP Eclipse of all.
Thanks Alex!
Bought one of these was my dream guitar .Happy with sound however the set up was terrible fret buzz all over .Had to pay a guitar tech to sort it out he advised the truss Rd was loose and intonation was out.Not good for such an expensive guitar .Send two emails to ESP and the distribution.Distribution were not interested Esp didn’t reply at all .
Hey Peter, Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Please contact our customer service if you should need further assistance. customerservice@espguitars.com
I want this! I'll get this when I can legitimately afford one.
Hi Frederick C, Thanks, we hope so!
can this model be ordered in dark purple satin and if so at what extra charge. Also why is this eclipse model the only 1 with a 3 piece neck instead of a 1 piece neck
Hi matt, we cannot special order a different color on a production model. you can order a custom shop guitar any way you would like but the pricing is usually 2-3 times the price of a production model.
I think esp should definitely consider doing a production of the dark purple satin like james hetfields guitar.
Hi Matt, Thanks for your suggestion.
two questions please.
first, what kinds of finish this guitar use,is that the Polyester paint or nitrocellulose lacquer?
second, does this guitar has lightening hole? what kinds of lightening hole.
thanks
Hi Rapheal, the finish is Polyurethane. We do not use nitrocellulose on standard production models with the rare exception of a distressed finish. Sorry I don't understand what is a lightening hole. Will you please explain ?
you kown we always compare Eclipse as Les paul.
For Les paul guitar the main part determining sound is the body weight relieve system.
les paul use more than 4 kinds of lightening hole system to relieve guitar body`s weight
and we want to kown the detail of Eclipse
Hi rapheal m, Our Eclipse model is approximately 10mm thinner than a LP. Since it is thinner it is lighter and more comfortable for most players. There is no weight relief chambering for our standard Eclipse body. But for our USA Eclipse, the body is thicker (similar with LP) and there is weight relief chambering.
Todd B. These are holes strategically placed often in the lower bouts under the binding that lighten the guitar. Another manufacturer, known for a particularly heavy solid body guitar, calls this weight relief.
Hi Frederick, There is no weight relief chambering on our regular Eclipse body. It is thinner than a regular LP. Our USA Eclipse (which is thicker) does have weight relief chambering. WE are also introducing a couple new LTD full thickness EC models with weight relief chambering this year.
