Just got this for Christmas.  How do I make adjustments?  The manual link you recommended below only has one page (not even the whole page) about bass guitars, and is not really helpful.  :(  I’ve never owned a 5-string bass before.  The strings are so close to the neck they rattle like crazy.  Especially the lowest string.  Should it be rattling and buzzing?  This is very annoying, and probably a deal-breaker.  Also the neck seems too flexible... When I pull back on it, even slightly, the strings stop playing altogether because they are touching.  This is so strange.  I’ve been playing a 4-string Fender P-Bass for 7 years, and have never had these issues, ever.  Do you have any instructional videos?   Really hope the rattling isn’t the way it’s supposed to be.  Please let me know ASAP.  Thanks.

I just played my bass in church for the first time

I just purchased this bass from Zzounds which should arrive sometime today and I am very curious as to what kind of pickups alnico or ceramic and how many truss Rods one or two?

hi I recently bought this model I love everything about it however I dropped it in the parking lot inside a gig bag. Now I have a giant ship the size of a quarter on the upper body where you would place your right forearm when playing. I am curious asked you what my options are for repair. Also could you tell me what material is used to finish the body, so I can find someone or attempt to repair it myself. Thank you, means a lot if you could help me out. Seriously wanted to cry as I only had it 3 weeks. I've never damaged an instrument so badly and the 15 plus years, I've played bass.

Hi Travis, Sorry to hear that. We use polyurethane paint. If you find a guitar repair person who works with paints or fillers/patches, he could probably fill the chip with some paint or cyanoacrylate (superglue) and make it feel nice again.

Travis D.

Awesome I will give that a try. Thank you very much and i really appreciate your time.

Also, is it just a clear poly coating , or is there color added. Mine is the see through flat black spalted maple top style.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Travis, Yes yours has color in the paint to give it that transparent black finish. . I wouldn't worry about getting it fixed perfectly, it's not possible to match the finish so you can't see the repair. You just want to seal it so it is smooth and will not chip or break out any further. Good luck

I recently purchased one and need the manual please

Hi Purnell, We have a basic owner's manual for all our models, but not for each individual model. You can download our manual on our website here: https://cdn.connectsites.net/user_files/esp/site_assets/000/000/436/original.pdf
