I have a question. Some guitars of this same name at Guitar Center have a 12th fret inlay. Are those always true and is this just a showcase model?
previously we used to list the model number on the 12 fret of instruments but this has since been changed, it is assumed those are older model LTD instruments you are looking at
the ec1000 12 fret were made in Korea...these are made in Indonesia
The electronics are solderless right? I bought this axe and wanted to put an emg het set
Ps : it hasn’t arrived yet so i hadn’t checked it and just wanted to know in advance
The pickups will have quick connects like all EMGs but the wiring will not be solderless
I wanted to buy this axe but the 2017 or 2016 model I don’t know the exact year but it’s probably one of these two and i wanted to know the bridge model is it a floyd special?
This will use a Floyd Rose 1000 series bridge
Does the EC1001FR come with the same neck shape as the GH600? Contour and thickness? I have the GH600 and love the guitar but would love to get a 24 fret guitar with the same neck.
Yes, these will both feature thin U shaped necks
Hi is it possible next year that Ebony would be used on the EC1000fr? I feel the look of the guitar is slightly compromised by the light brown colour of the pau ferro fretboard and definitely would look more cohesive with ebony like most other eclipse models. Is this just to save money since you have fitted a Floyd? As it seems a no brainer to have an ebony board on an already black instrument. This morning s the only thing stopping me purchasing this beautiful guitar.

Definitely, the Macassar Ebony should have been used on this guy

I’ve been shopping around and this is the guitar for me! I just can’t get past the light brown fretboard. Is there any update on a dark fretboard for this model?

Totally agree. Ebony fretboard would enhance the look and sound of the guitar, in my opinion. I own a ESP EC-1000 VB (Korea) and an ESP Eclipse ii (Japan) and they look and sound great!!
