With its unique coloration and grain pattern highlights, spalted maple is a great look for a bass that stands out from the crowd. The B-206SM is an affordable yet high quality 6-string bass that offers an ash body with a spalted maple top in Natural Satin finish, along with a thin U-shaped 5-piece maple/jatoba neck for excellent playing feel. You also get passive ESP Designed SB-6 pickups, along with an active ABQ-3 3-band EQ, and good-looking black nickel hardware. Available in Natural Satin finish.
The last year I bought one B206 lefthand and I was reluctant to put some here, but after playing 1 year this bass
and become my insseparable friend... I have to say is THANKS ESP for:
Making 6 strings lefthand basses - almost no one thinks of us as real musicians
Making a beautiful instruments - the same quality for right and left players (you know iba... what you have done)
Making a top quality basses - I really love mine
Sound is amazing -Ash tone is everything, better than other brands I prove (you know which ones)
The best lefty I ever played in 30 years!
What I don't like:
The plug on the side gets in your way
The lower horn the diameter is very small and does not allow free movement of the hand for chords
The plate that cover the trussrods I had to put a damper, vibrates with some notes
The hole in the bridge for the ballend on the low B string only accepts .130 max a .135 don't
What I want to see
Ebony 6 strings for lefty - I'll buy one
Multiscale ebony 6 strings - I'll buy two
and those for which I would give you my fortune... fretless 35' and multiscale 37'
Again, thank you ESP for think on us ... the lefty community
