No, because guitars will become much more expensive

Stonecat

Birds eye maple body would be cool.

Ian Rusconi

Non-standard = more expensive.

Rob Marshall

Not instead of ..... but to offer something like Bubinga would be nice.

Travis L.

yes!!!

Kjetil (GRIM) Remen

Could care less as long as they sound good

James S.

as nice as custom wood would be to order, it would be out of the price range for most players. more importantly there are a lot of exotic woods that do not stand the test of time as the classics. with that being said guitars made out purple heart look amazing, serioiusly, google it

Maybe if someone custom ordered it. Then anything's free in terms of wood.

On the Esp Standard series and Ltd's keep on using the same woods as before. It has certainly worked for you! :-)

Michael P.

I vote yes with the caveat that it is an in addition to rather than an instead of classic tonewoods.

Rod Ruvalcaba

YES YES YES !! THER'ES NO WAY YOU EVER GET BORED ON ESP/LTD's AND THIS DOESN'T SOUND BAD AT ALL. EVERY WOOD HAS THEIR OWN ACOUSTIC/SUSTAIN CARACTERISTICS AND AESTHETICS. AS LONG AS THE LUTHIERS KEEP AWAY FROM PLYWOOD, I'M UP FOR IT.

Andrew C.

I'd like to at least see one or two models available with an exotic wood variety every now and again.

I recently received my LTD EC1000 Koa, and its absolutely stunning. The mahogany body and koa top are brilliant together. The pictures online dont do this one justice.

Harlow

Hi by chance do you know if the Koa top is only a thin veneer or a thick cap?

Alexander S.

Exotic woods on limited ESP models and not on LTDs

Aaron M.

A limited edition thing every once in a while could be cool. How ever the traditional wood have proven themselves time and time again. Exotic woods looks great but may be bit of a trend in my opinion.

Andrea R.

Exotic woods are really special, I love them.

Döme N.

Yea some limited series would be awesome

BOOTY'OS

They could use them for a limited run for maybe a 50 years anniversary.
