Wow, that's I guess ideal variant. But r-121 is too expensive for me yet
I record straight into my software clean and then add audio inputs with digital distortion and try to make it match my tone. It may not get the same sound, but it's more clear and editable. But that's just for demos. If I were recording a final take of a song, I would go the route of using the Shure for the tone.
