hello

planning to get an ESP horizon II but I need an advice concerning the fixed bridge :

the ESP USA have them with a string through

while the ESP original Japan have a gotoh stop tail bridge !!

why they are not similar ? What's the best (specially if we go for drop tuning) ? And what do you recommend?

thank you in advance .

In order to avoid redundancies among our model offerings, each location produces similar but different instruments, allowing for a wider range of configurations. People will most often associate string-thru bodies with more direct tonal access, compared to a stop tailpiece. Essentially utilizing more of the body wood tone, or neck wood tone for neck-thru construction. Some players prefer having the option of adjusting the tailpiece to change the angle at which the string crosses the tune-o-matic. While other players may make their choice based on aesthetic preferences or comfort while playing. We recommend you try out both styles, before your purchase if possible. When working with a different tuning and different string gauges you will find that both configurations will pose similar hurdles.
