Question about the Randall RG80ES (OD or EQ)
So, I'm getting a Randall RG80ES. I hear people saying how it has lots of gain when you pull the treble knob, but it drastically reduces the volume. So, if I were to use this for a gig without sacrificing volume and still having high gain, what would be the best thing to get to add the extra gain: An Overdrive such as the Boss SD-1 or Digitech Bad Monkey, or an EQ like the MXR 6-band black box or Dano Fish & Chips?) PS: My budget isn't too much, The highest I can go is $70.

I had a Randall RG100ES and used an MXR KFK-1 10 band EQ with it as well as a Furman PQ-4 parametric. Sounded awesome!

Ah, well, I really didn't have that in my budget. :(
The Furmans usually go over $300 on the Bay, and the KFK-1 is $140 retail, so, no luck on either one.

Since I didn't get any responses in, I decided to bite the bullet and get the Bad Monkey mainly since it has the 2-band EQ as opposed to the single EQ on the SD-1.
