Wah, my crybaby won't gently weep. (Need help fast!!)

    So I clicked it on today and nothing happened, there wasn't any sound coming through the amp. So I clicked it off and the wahless distortioned notes spewed back out the amp. Whats wrong and how do I fix it?

        most likely battery but could also have the cables backwards. make sure your guitar is in the "in" (right side) and one to amp is "out" (left side).

            put it at the beginning of the pedal chain,i had mine at the end of the chain,and i thought i blew it,until i found out wahs work best at the beginning of the pedal chain
