Recording Gear

    I'm looking in the new year to start purchasing some gear for recording. I was wondering what some good interfaces and programs are to look into as when it comes to it I'm a recording noob. |I I was looking at things like a POD or the pocket POD, the people at my local music store are useless so any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

    If you have the money, the newer POD X3 live looks fantastic for recording as it has stereo XLR direct outs and bags of features.

    As far as interfaces go, as long as your computer has a firewire port, get a firewire interface over a USB one. Big difference, I'm told.
