The ESP Guitar Company

I have recently purchased an LTD 400AT (Eclipse type) from a guy and the sound went out the other night. When I took the back off the guitar, I noticed some broken wires, which explained my issue of no sound. But there was multiple broken wires, so I don't know where all of them came from. So, I need help. For some reason there are 3 wires (instead of 2) coming from the input jack (2 black and 1 green). Why is this? Also there is a black wire coming from a middle cavity of the guitar. It's not going to the pickups or the switch, it's like it's going internally to something in the guitar. Ground possibly? Any info would greatly help me. All wiring diagrams don't show this extra info. It's only on ESP guitars. Thanks.
