I want to take the covers off my pickups, Ive just got Duncan Active Jbs and whatever, And they are the silver ones. I want to put gold ones on is this possible and how difficult is it to do...is there somewhere online where there is a tutorial or anything?
Mr Walley

Take the pickup out. Look at the back. If it is soldered on either side, use a sharp pocket knife and cut through the solder. The cover should then just pull off with a little bit of muscle.

yeah i tryed it last nite on some old ones....it works. But how do i get the new ones to stay? Glue or will the magnent just do its thing?

Mr Walley

Hopefully you have a soldering iron and some rosin core solder. Just mimic the way the old ones were soldered on.
