Serial Number Check?

Hello all; would someone please let me know if this serial number is legitimate?

Do all signature series have the ESP logo on the back of the headstock? This one does not, and I feel like I got the deal of a lifetime on it.

It feels great, has the certificate of authenticity, came in what appeared to be original packaging, has the logo on the case, and appears to have come from a legitimate dealer. Am I just being paranoid, or am I in good shape?

Serial number points to 2007 production. 25k pots would come with active pickups. Your guitar likely came stock with EMGs.

I have an LTD ESP Explorer, I bought it a long time ago and was wondering if you could tell me the age and possibly wether it's worth anything. Bought it for $900 or so, still have card that was given to me with model and serial number on it. Serial number is stamped on the bottom of the neck. There are no other markings on the guitar except for ESP on the EMG pick ups. Serial number is:43083 Tried to upload image but said files are too large. It's in great condition.

Unfortunately, we'd need photos to give you an idea of price. But you can check Reverb and eBay to compare it to similar guitars. The model name is an LTD EXP-200 (unless it has a Floyd Rose.)

It's a little dirty/greasy but there are no dents or scratches. The screws are a little tarnished around the pickups but those are replaceable.

Do you know the year by the serial? Is it weird that the serial number is stamped on the bottom of the neck? Most that I've seen have the serial in a pearl inlay about a quarter the way up the neck and those are 1998. I bought mine before that I think. And I've seen them selling anywhere from $600-$3000 depending on the condition.

It also has the original case.

Yeah, it's a first year production, so 97-98ish. No LTD Explorer shape has actually sold for $3000. I'd guess in the $1000 range, but be willing to take less.

Difficult to say for sure with only one photo, but there's nothing on the back of the headstock that causes any concern. Should be a 2016 model.

Well I contacted ESP and apparently that guitar is real. It is just not distributed in USA and this site displays ESP guitars on sale in USA.
