EC 256 Volume Control

    So I recently bought an LTD Ec256 with double Humbuckers.  It's my first HH guitar so I'm not sure if this is normal or not.  The guitar has a master tone and two volume pots. One for each pickup.  When I'm in the middle position with both pickups engaged if I roll the volume all the way down on one volume pot both pickups shut off. I can have the volume all the way up on one and all the way down on the other and they both go silent.  Doesn't matter which volume knob.  If either are rolled all the way down they both shut off.  Is this normal wiring or is something faulty?  In position one and three everything seems normal.
