you may want to try, to move the strapbutton, just 1-2cm further down (closer to the neck).
(so that it doesn't bug you with putting the strap on either)
it may just do the trick.
(i moved it <2cm on my explorer and the problem was solved)
really?? have you got pics?? I wanna check this out as is the only downside of my EX too...

Hi, thanks for the welcome. I don't really want to go putting extra holes in my new baby haha! it isn't really that bad. Im just gonna learn to live with it. I know a guy with a 2007 model ec-1000 (with the red quilted finish) and his isnt neck heavy. I wonder if they made the body thinner since then? Or the esp locking tuners are somehow heavier the sperzals on the older model?
well... just as i thought in the beginning... until i was sick of all the neckdiving (after more than a year or so).
like sayd before: it worked (with the 2cm) on the Epi, but it didn't on the EX.
i think it's a lot about the wood in the body and neck... so it can differ from instrument to instrument, even if it's the same model.
