ESP MII change for 2008?

    I know on the specs for the ESP MII on the 2008 website it says the hardware color is "black nickel". The hardware looks very chrom-ish. Is it just me or wasn't the hardware straight "black" for 2007 and years previous? so that would mean they changed it? thanks

      They only use black hardware in the custom shop.

        oh, I like the chrome look better on the MII's anyway. Add's something new to the black finish

          to fill you in, the black was banned due to heath reasons. Some part of the process was really dangerous to living beings so they took it out, cant believe after all these years in 07 it changed

            Wow banned due to health reasons? insane. So what about the people with the pre 2008 model esp with the black hardware? Is there health at any risk? They would have to re-call all guitars with this feature? doesn't make much sense here.
