You can find 5150s used for about $500. There are some deals to bad if you wait and search. And yes, the Bugera will definitely need a tube swap as I\'ve read they come with garbage tubes from the factory. With a swap, they should sound closer to the quality amp they\'re trying to replicate. As for the VK, I didn\'t buy mine new, so I couldn\'t tell you what the stock ones sound like, but whatever I have in now sounds really nice.

Between the two amps, I\'d say this. You\'re comparing a hot-rodded Marshall to a modern high-gain machine. If you like a more natural, punchy, mid-range filled sound with better cleans, go for the VK. If you want one of the best high gain amps on the market (modern high gain, so more fizz and chunk with less mid range) with passable (not great) cleans, go for the 5150 (or in your case the Bugera).

You\'d really have to try them out or listen to demos to find which one you like. Both are quality, both will require new tubes, and you really can\'t go wrong with either.
