i should have specified more, on my shitty ol floyd special (black paint) the paint is wearing down a lot because it is poorly done and the metal is at the first stages of rust while on my old M-200&somethingish the chrome Floyd Special is still (or i should say WAS as i sold 3 month ago) in great shape no rust or peeling off even though it is MUCH older (2-3 years-ish) . but most importantly is that on my teachers ol horizon custom he had a black painted OFR that had a much better paint job on it and it still looked brand spankin new after 9 years !<\/p>\n\n

i am only speaking out of experience, all of the maple fretboards that i have played or own do have finishes on them .so yes your right not every maple fretboard is finished<\/p><\/div>\n\n \n\n
