About me:

I started playing guitar at age 14 because of my fascination with KISS. It was 1990 and I was living in

San Francisco, CA. Within that next year I saw my first concert featuring Death Angel & Forbidden at the

Warfield. Hard rock and thrash metal was definitely in my blood.

By age 15, I was living in small town Iowa & traveling to nearby Omaha, NE for concerts and music stores

etc. That’s where I saw my first ESP MII Custom with the famous Tiananmen Square “man in front of the

tank” image. It was brand new and I couldn’t afford it at the time, but over the next 2 years I saw it end

up 3-4 different music stores. By the time I was 17 and saw it again I had to have it. I sold all my gear

(guitars & amps) and pooled all the cash I had to buy that guitar. I didn’t even have an amp for several

months but it was ok- I finally had my dream guitar. That was the beginning of my 22 year relationship

with ESP guitars!
