I think it has either alnico magnets or pole pieces though. The set is more bright and clear vs an 81/60. So you can really hear individual notes well with clean picking parts and solos with gain.

That's probably a graphite nut, the kind I prefer. ESP will pretty much do anything (see the custom gallery) since they are very skilled. I think the snakebyte would look cool with just the snake inlay and no dots. I'm......MORE »
Thanks Road King. I know at the time I bought it that the neck thru model wasn't a standard run, that you had to custom order it, but I assume it got made in the standard factory and not a custom shop.

They didn't do the prefixes back then. It started in 2003 with the standard series (i.e. SS03). And then they added the signature series in 2005 or 2006. My guess is ESP guitars had to add more shops to keep up with demand.......MORE »
