A bad connection at the jack is a possibility, with passives a bad connection will usually yeild no sound or a lot of crackling,
with EMG's a bad connection can sometimes just sound like a weak battery. ......MORE »

From the neck stamps I think its a Fender japan body.
The string tree is the wrong type and in the wrong place. for an esp. The logo is not the correct ESP logo for the lawsuit headstock.

Serial number on the fret board puts you around 1995 / 1996, model was orignially the h2 and later became the h 200 - should say LTD on the neck at the 12th fret, I have two made out what appears to be Basswood......MORE »
