Pushead replied to the forum post ESP Standard V - fake or not?

It's legit.  They made an ESP V-II for a while.  The serial number dates to 2012, and if you look in the 2012 catalog, you'll see one that looks just like the one in the......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Neck might be tilted on my guitar

Yeah, a fret level and recrown will fix the issue.  Guy in the video needs a total refret, there likely isn't enough fret left for a new level and crown. Around here it's a $60 to $80 job.......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Neck might be tilted on my guitar

What does he mean by tilted?  The ESP guitars are designed like the Gibson guitars with a neck angle.  If that's what he's talking about, find a new luthier.  If he can't properly setup a guitar with a neck......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Do I need a buffer pedal?

If you're not gigging, have you considered wiring the Line 6 pedals through the effects loop? If you do gig, have you considered getting an all-in-one unit to replace all of those Line 6 units?  I use a G-major in my......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Please help to verify

I suspect it's a fake, but I don't know enough about the early to mid 80s ESP guitars to say for sure.  My instinct is that even if it is an ESP (which I doubt), it's probably not worth the $700 it's up for.......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post ESP MX-220 or MX-250

It's a 220 body shape.  I don't know the year.  It knob layout is similar to Gibson, but the earliest MX designs I'm aware of have the same step at the neck joint as a Gibson as well.  It wasn't until later......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Do I need a buffer pedal?

Any or all of those pedals act as a buffer.  You don't have a true-bypass pedal in your rig (except for maybe the Polytune).  If you feel you're suffering from tone loss, cut out one (or all) of the Line 6......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post ESP Horizon FR-II pickup swap

Even if the electronics aren't, by 2008 EMG had quick swap connectors on the pickup.  I don't have any experience with the 57/66, but I think they're just the same 3 wire connection as the 81/85.  Shouldn't need to......MORE »
