Go to the support tab at the top of the page and select product archives. The first two numbers after the serial number should be the year the bass was made. See if something in that catalog shows what you're looking for.......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Customizing KH-2?

That's the harder part. I was unsuccessful in getting ESP to send me a replacement logo when I had a guitar refinished. I know some people source logos from ebay, though I haven't found any good replicas. The guy who painted......MORE »

The 338 would probably be a bit nicer of a guitar, but you have to deal with the color and whatever personalizations are on the Steph guitar.......MORE »

Absolutely. Automotive paint is pretty typical for a finish on the guitar.Taking a guitar apart and putting it back together again isn't rocket science. It's pretty straight forward. There's tons of resources on the net for......MORE »

Sorry man, it's a fake. This totally ruins my "no one fakes that much abalone purfling" comment, but this is pretty bad, as fakes go. One of the big tells is that they didn't use enough abalone; there would be abalone around......MORE »

There's nothing here that says it's an ESP of any sort. I doubt ESP was making no-headstock guitars in the 48th street facility. To the best of my knowledge, they were only making bolt-on style guitars there.......MORE »

It's a sticker. If it's still on the guitar, it would be on the head stock, and it would look like this. I'm fairly certain that ESP wasn't putting any "Made in Japan" markings on guitars during that era.......MORE »
