Road King replied to the forum post NGD! So I stopped working out, and...

Whoa, after a decade of wanting this guitar, looks like I got it just in time. ESP just ditched the ocean blue finish for faded blue and the wenge fretboard for rosewood. GAS for the new ivy green one. I have a new obsession......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Should E-II be cheaper than the equivalent standard series model?

You're nearly three years late to this party.  The ESP Standard brand hasn't been around since 2014.  The decision was made and E-II is the brand for the guitars in that price range.  Each customer will have to decide on......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post EX 401FR FR Clamps stuck

Yes, that will do it.  If your son is new to Floyd Rose systems, I'd suggest he check out a few videos on YouTube about the setup and maintenance.  They're not especially complicated, but it might make his first (few)......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post Long Schaller Strap Lock screw with horizon.

You won't crack the guitar.  I think the smaller screws will be fine, but compare them to the screw that comes out of the guitar.......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post KH-202: EMG Upgrade Question

Pot values are 10k Ohm.  They need far less resistance than passives (which are likely 500k Ohm in your KH-202.)......MORE »

Pushead replied to the forum post KH-202: EMG Upgrade Question

Unfortunately, it's not quite that simple.  The pots and jack need to be replaced for the active system.  I'm not particularly a fan of the solderless system, but it seems that it's the only publically availabe setup they......MORE »

Road King replied to the forum post ESP "custom order" identifying issue

Looks like a custom for the Japanese market. The headstock is similar to the "Killer" random star guitar or an EVH. That color is sweet.......MORE »

If you watch the "making of" videos on YouTube, Kirk wasn't around for much of the early writing processes.  It's a shame, because I think it's Kirk's riffs I like best.......MORE »

Road King replied to the forum post ESP Phoenix II with different logo price

The script logo was for the 2009 models and I think a few 2010 models. Then they went to the block logo. $1300 is an ok price if it is brand new. These sold for $1499 USD new with case when they were in production.......MORE »

Road King replied to the forum post Another Tallica video

I'm still anxious to see if we'll be getting a KH-30. I heard on the radio Kirk saying he didn't get any writing credits on the new album because he lost his phone which had his riffs on it. But he wrote the guitar solos?......MORE »

Stock pots are fine.  You should just be able to remove and replace the two wires coming from each of the DiMarzio pickups and replace with the black (hot) and green/uncoated (ground) and be fine with the rest of the wiring.......MORE »
